Sir, – I never met Dardis Clarke – clearly my loss – but I was moved by such a wonderful tribute to him from Hilary Fannin (Fiftysomething, March 8th). So beautifully and sincerely written, it captured a spirit and character which Dublin could ill-afford to lose. The article brought him to life for me and his personality shone through. I have no doubt that he is sorely missed by his many friends.
