Aisling on Beauty: 5 super serums to rescue mature skin

Make sure to choose a good one full of concentrated ingredients

Most women with mature skin are probably used to a skincare routine consisting of cleanser and moisturiser along with the occasional face mask. Recently, I’ve had a few queries from women asking whether they really need to add serum to their routine or if it’s just a marketing scam to get them to spend more money.

I am pro-serum, with the caveat that it has to be a good one full of concentrated ingredients. Put it on after cleansing and wait a couple of minutes for it to sink in before putting on moisturiser.

I tried this after I had suffered the most terrible facial, which broke veins around my nose and caused pores to stretch, sag and generally look terrible. A couple of weeks with this serum restored my skin to normal. Best for: Those concerned about sagging skin and enlarged pores.
