In the old days, James Bond used to be imprisoned in mechanised, convoluted traps complete with automated lasers and man-eating creatures. Stealth Inc has a similar set-up. Playing one of many clones, you are tasked with finding your way out of numerous rooms using nothing but your wits. Turn a switch to open a door, manipulate a robot to walk over a switch, time your stealthy passage with the movements of sensors, and so on. Make a wrong turn and your avatar meets a bloody demise, whether it's from a slamming door, automated gun, spinning blade or something equally nasty. It's presented nicely, with an ominous score, clear (if low-fi) graphics and Orwellian messages ("Failing is learning," for example). Stealth Inc is a smart and playable game that will test your grey matter as much if not more than your thumbs. But be warned: Addictive as it is, the game can also be maddeningly difficult. stealthbastard.com
