The range of cars i is impressive. You start with the smaller cars – from Volkswagen, say – and work your way up to the more impressive, higher-powered beasts, such as the Ferrari or Bugatti. DLC will add some further vehicles to get to grips with.

And they all look great. There's an amazing level of detail packed into each car, and, once on the track, you can feel the difference between each car. The handling varies, affected by the car, track conditions and tyres, so you almost feel as if you're right there. It even manages to squeeze in the Top Geartest track.

If you're a Forza 3player, you're in luck; Forza 4will give you a certain amount of credit for your previous loyalty. Gift cars are added automatically to your garage in Forza 4,and you get bonus gifts and credits.

If you want to get up close with some of the cars and drool over the detail, Autovista allows you to do just that. You can take a walk around the car, find out about different components, and get to use the Kinect sensor into the bargain.

The downside is that it’s limited to only a certain number of cars, although obviously it’s some of the more high-powered, expensive ones.
