Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle, of the Grand Marnier family, started this vineyard and hotel with her husband. Lapostolle Residence, in central Chile, overlooks vineyards and guests can quaff produce from – and tour – the resident Clos Apalta winery. Hotel Marqués de Riscal, Elciego, Spain

The Marqués de Riscal winery, in Rioja country, created the local area's first wine cellar in 1858. US architect Frank Gehry designed its flowing hotel where rooms overlook the vineyards. Guests can tour the winery, Europe's largest wine museum (Museo del Vino Dinastía Vivanco), and the nearby villages of La Guardi and Cenicero. Doubles from €333.

The hotel's interior has a French country style and rooms overlook vineyards, forests and gardens, including one with fruit and vegetables. Produce is used by the L'Orangerie restaurant.
