Surf fest is upin Bundoran
Bundoran is gearing up for a major party in two weeks time when it hosts the European Surfing Championships. From September 23rd to October 2nd the town will see an influx of some of the biggest names in surfing, including Reubyn Ash and Richie Fitzgerald for Team Ireland. The excitement on the water will be matched only by non-stop entertainment by night, including The Undertones, Royseven, The Rare Groove Funk Orchestra, Big Generator and Pump Up the Jam. Eurosurf will kick off with the premiere screening of Soul Surfer,a true story of Bethany Hamilton, the Hawaiian surfer who lost her left arm in a shark attack only to recover and become a professional surfer.

Quest in the west
Connemara continues its bid to become the adventure running hub of Ireland with the ConnQuest following the recent Connemara Rough Diamond climb. Combining a 10K quest and a half marathon mountain trail, ConnQuest on Saturday next starts from Lettergesh beach and features a series of challenges before a beach dash for the finish line at the Connemara Camping Park.
