Michelin star chefs at Lough Eske

SEVEN international guest chefs with four Michelin stars between them will take part in a three-day culinary showcase at Lough Eske Castle Food and Wine festival in Donegal town.

Starting on October 2nd, the opening event will be a five-course dinner prepared by Michelin star chef Michael Deane. There will also be a Champagne Taittinger Michelin dinner hosted by Vitalie Taittinger.

Using Donegal produce, the chefs have put together a programme for dinners accompanied by wine and champagne tastings.

The Michael Deane dinner on October 2nd at 7.30pm is €89pp, the Champagne Taittinger Michelin dinner on October 3rd is €99pp and the Lough Eske Castle Food and Wine Festival dinner on October 4th is €109pp. Overnight accommodation is available at €150 per room per night with breakfast. Small cruise ships are best

A Berlitz cruise guide says small is beautiful after it reviewed 285 ships and found the 10 most highly rated are small or boutique ships. Europa, an 11-year-old ship of Hapag Lloyd Cruises, was the only vessel to receive a five-star plus rating.
