An Irish wetsuit, bookends for car boots and waterproofing your library

Mara Charger Wetsuit
Mara is an Irish surf company, with its own designed and manufactured range of wetsuits, rash vests and other surfing kit. It's great to see an Irish brand dipping the proverbial toe in. In neoprene, of course, with taped seams inside, triple glued and blind-stitched, and a Thermo Pro lining for warmth, it makes Mara's Charger a safe call for local swell. But sorry, surfer girls, only available for dudes right now.

Stayhold
Here's useful tool for the more obsessive car boot packers. Stayhold works like a bookend for your boot. Made from strong plastic with strips of hooks on the bottom, you push it into place on the boot floor and it sticks to the carpet in a Velcro-esque fashion. A handle lets you pull it up. Get a couple of them and you can divvy up your staycation boot in carefully-themed fashion or just keep a few groceries from tumbling round.

Waterfi
Waterproof Kindle
Waterfi is offering a pretty radical new spin on a number of personal electronics gadgets: waterproofed versions. This is a waterproof Kindle Paperwhite, the one with a front-lit display. Waterfi protects the e-reader with a dual layer treatment. First a thick, rubbery insulator around all the Kindle's innards, seals it and leaves no space for water – clever lateral thinking – and then a second, thinner, waterproofing and anti-corrosion coating. Bingo, over 1,000 books waterproofed to 60m. Read in the bath, in a pool or even the sea. Perhaps not Jaws, though.
