Kermit the Frog denies he has younger, thinner, new girlfriend

Kermit the frog has shown he certainly has a type, as photos of a lady friend rumoured to be his new girlfriend emerged yesterday. The only difference, it seems, is that ‘Denise’ is a younger and thinner version of his famous ex; how very original of the middle-aged rainbow-loving TV star.

Denise is said to be the head of marketing for ABC, the network behind The Muppets, a new documentary featuring Kermit and Miss Piggy working together on Miss Piggy's talk show, Up Late With Miss Piggy. All nice and cosy then for Denise to stop by to say hello, as a source close to 'People' has revealed she frequently does.

Despite all this Kermit has strongly denied rumours, stating through twitter that he and the young frog are simply ‘close friends’.

Kermit, who has previously painted his own disposition as ‘sunny’, has shown his true (green) colours since the break up with Miss Piggy, insinuating in the video below that she had been unprofessional in their shared workplace.

Kermit has even gone as far as to publically place bets on Miss Piggy’s mental health.

Miss Piggy, despite all the drama, seems to be enjoying the single life. Earlier this week a photo of her and Liam Hemsworth of The Hunger Games, appeared on his Instagram page. And Liam seemed to enjoy the encounter, stating 'Spent Friday with the most beautiful girl in the world,' adding 'Kermit, #SorryNotSorry.'

Despite the bullying tactics, Miss Piggy, who has become somthing of a feminist icon, continues to hold her head up high and focus on her work. And we for one, wish her all the best. #TeamPiggy
