Hi Dad,
Happy Birthday on the 3rd of June last. Are you 88 now? Hope you had a great day. Mum and Maria visited you last Sunday. Hope you liked the fabulous flowers Maria left for you. I forgot it was your birthday so apologies for my lapse in memory. It was mum who reminded me, in fact it has been a while since we spoke. I still remember your last words to me and how while lying in the bed beside you you told me how I was like a great little hot water bottle. It was a cold March day and soon after the ambulance arrived to take you to the hospital and that was it I never saw you again. I was six as was my twin sister.
Mum has been fantastic looking after the six of us.She has been a rock. I know now why you married her. I have a son now dad, his name is Harry and he is six.Would love you to be here to see him but the savages of your cancer denied you that pleasure.
He is gorgeous. I know now being a parent is a special thing and now only realise how Father’s Day is special for him and his dad.
So this year I wanted to wish you have very Happy Father’s day.
Its been a few years what nearly 40 years since I wished these greetings to you if ever.
