From Helen to Dad: “Hope they have Father’s Day up above”

Helen Harrington

Dear Dad

Thank you for Driving.

Driving me to my first job in Leeson Street every morning on your way to work (I now know you didn’t work in Dublin city).

Driving me to give blood after the Dublin bombings even thought by the time we got to Leeson Street (where the Blood Bank was) we had to turn back as they had too many people arriving to donate.

Driving my three kids home from school every day and minding them with Mum until I finished work three hours later) after my marriage broke up.

I cannot say thank you for driving Mum crazy at times but thank you for staying the course as with five daughters and Mum it cannot have been a bed of roses at times.

Hope they have Father’s Day up above.

Love you

Helen
