Our addiction to period dramas continues apace, so we’re eagerly anticipating the first episode of Blandings, a six-part comedy drama starting tomorrow at 6.30pm on BBC1. Set in 1929 and starring Timothy Spall, Jennifer Saunders and David Walliams, the series is based on PG Wodehouse’s Lord Emsworth and the fictional Blandings Castle.

Blandings was filmed in the very real Crom Castle in Co Fermanagh, above. Set on parklands on a peninsula in Upper Lough Erne, it has been home to the Crichton family, Earls of Erne, since it was built in the 1830s. You can visit the castle independently or go on a Blandings guided tour. See discovernorthernireland.com
